Maybe you've been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, IBS, IBD or an autoimmune gut issue like Crohn's.
While all of these issues are quite common, they’re not normal…but, it is possible to feel digestively well!
When I first started having GI issues…. I sort of ignored it, based on my doctors reaction. Changes to my bowel movements were… ‘normal’ for my vegetarian diet, according to her.
But it wasn't long before I didn’t feel ‘normal’… many foods made me bloated, I experienced difficult to pass gas & even undigested food in my stool… which is never a good sign.
I knew something was wrong…
…but I didn’t know where to turn because my doctor clearly wasn’t going to be any help… The thought of sifting through doctors in order to actually get to the bottom of what was going on had me… feeling doomed.
So I set out to figure it out by myself.
I started studying everything I could concerning the digestive system and the gut microbiome.
I listened to every doctor’s podcast, lecture, video, documentary I could. I read their books and became a certified Holistic Health Coach at The Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
I got the right type of testing done, which revealed all sorts of dysbiosis as well as poor digestibility markers.
Again, I studied my ass off and figured out how to heal my gut, and repopulate it with the right kind of microbes.
It took patience, diligence and commitment, but I was finally free of my digestive issues.
I gotta say, I am one of the lucky ones who only experienced gut issues (and acne). But other symptoms of gut issues range from fatigue, weight gain / loss, brain fog, anxiety, depression, thyroid issues, autoimmune issues, hair loss, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, and more.
I knew there were other people out there who weren't getting the help they sought from their doctors.
I knew most people would get sent home with the useless yet ubiquitous "IBS diagnosis" and the double-edged sword recommendation to pursue a low FODMAP diet.
If any of this describes you, I know how you feel.
I know what it’s like when even your own doctor can’t tell you what’s wrong.
I know how it feels to not understand what’s going on with your body.
I know how it feels to be afraid that everything you eat is going to cause pain, gas, bloating.
I know what it’s like to have to eliminate tons of foods, to find it difficult to order food at a restaurants and to have to explain yourself to family and friends.
How can you get better if your doctor can’t even tell you what’s happening?
This is why I developed my program “That’s Gutsy”
Inside, you will learn how to know which foods to avoid to start feeling better now.
You’ll understand the simple ways to improve your digestion, and the things you cannot ignore in order to heal your gut.
I explain the role of other systems of the body, like the adrenals, thyroid and liver, and why your healing depends on them.
You’ll learn about which types of gut dysfunction cause which types of symptoms, and how to eradicate them completely without relapse.
How to repopulate your gut with healthy microbes so that you can digest your food and supply your body with the nutrition it deserves.
